The functionality of a
leader is designed like the flight of a natural bird. Leadership is never a
role one play, it is a life one leads. It is self manifestation. This doesn’t
mean a leader should act independently from others.
A genuine leadership
begins to fly high immediately when they start living in line with their
natural purpose. They do not need to be inspired by anyone. It is only when a
leader discovers his true purpose, that is when he can effectively builds
principles, ethics and values that paves the way of a strong character. And if
the relationship between purpose and leadership is not well understood, our
character development could be interrupted.
Leadership can also be
defined as the capacity to influence people around you through inspiration,
motivated by passion, generated by a vision, produced by a conviction, ignited
by a purpose.
The true evidence of a
genuine positive influence of a leader on others is the manifestation of his
leadership.
Leadership is also the
expression of a mind-set resulting from the knowledge of who we were born to
be. We mostly live our lives based on who we think we are and why we think we
exist. A genuine leader should often recognize that he possess a unique purpose
for being in this world. That purpose determines the area of leadership in
which he/she was called to serve.
Every human on planet
earth is supposed to exercise his leadership role in a definite area of
gifting. Doing something you were not born to do will make you stretch all your
effort just to perform it and put a burden on you. In contrast, pursuing your
true purpose will internally stir you up to exercise your unique gift.
When you find yourself
in your true purpose, insecurities will begin to fade away. You won’t drain
yourself trying to please people, you will eliminate the need for other people
to approve what you do. You will begin to experience inner peace and approval
as you fulfill what you were born to do.
By exercising your
inherent gift, you will discover your personal leadership role, fulfillment,
contentment and finding meaning in all facet of life. We were all born to
accomplish that, which no else can accomplish. We were all born to do something
that the entire world will not be able to ignore. Carefully seek your natural
gifts, purpose, identify your potentials and destiny.
