“Not slothful
in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.” “Romans 12; 11”
In these days when
people have developed an entitlement mentality and they wait for things to just
happen to them or for them, there is something to be said about people who are
not slothful in business. We live in time when people are indolent, apathetic,
lazy and uninspired.
They complain about
what government has not done, what their family failed to do and what their
friends did not give. They deal with God as though He owes them everything and
they complain endlessly about how hard their life is.
If you are going to get
the best out of your life, you must decide not to be slothful in business.
Whether it is about your spiritual life, family, business or career, you will
not amount to much if you are slothful. The world is not for the lethargic,
laidback or lackadaisical. If you have one person to blame for what you are
dealing with today, you will not amount to much as you will not see a reason to
get into the driver’s seat of your life. You were born to do great things.
The fervency you
display about the things of God reveal a lot about how much value you place on
the kingdom. The fervent person is passionate. The passionate person is not
stuck on a spot. The passionate person takes strides in the Spirit. The
passionate person achieves more than the laid back person. The passionate
person attracts help and favour. Even God will not draw near to you if you do
not draw near to him (James 4:8). Passion attracts!
Are you passionate
about the kingdom? Are you passionate about your assignment? Are passionate
about your family? Whether it is prayer, purpose or business, you will not be
able to achieve much if you are not passionate.
Serve the Lord with
passion. Build your business with passion. Raise your family with passion. Your
profiting will appear to all.
You will do well
