The Benefit of Evaluating Your Leaders.

Although our culture teaches us to admire our leasers oratorical skills, power, academic degrees and wealth, thinking that those characteristics will eventually sum up to great leadership role. Before we follow anyone, we must know what that person truly believes and on what path he is taking you to. We may end up finding out that our paths are different from where the leaders are going.
It is advisable not to have a high expectation on how powerful a leader is or how much intelligent he was. Periodically evaluate what your leaders stand for as well as the policies they encourage. Review their lives and convictions. Find out what their values are and how their beliefs affect their policies.
Listed below are some of the questions to ask before you follow any leaders.

1)    Does he share my beliefs and values?

2)    What is his vision of life?

3)    Does he still have the same convictions that inspired me to follow him in the beginning?

4)    What is his attitude toward other human beings?

5)    Does he demonstrate a sound ethical standard?

6)    What direction does he think the world should be taking?

7)    What does he see as the future of his company/organization/community/nation

Irrespective of a good belief a leader possess, it is necessary to still checkmate a leader’s life to ascertain if his words and actions are consistent.
