But God, who
is rich in mercy, because of His great
love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us
alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up
together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that
in the ages to come He might show exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness
toward us in Christ Jesus. “Ephesians 2;
4-7”
It will take all of
eternity to fully grasp the extent of what Christ did for us on the cross. When
the nails tore through his limbs and the
spear pierced His side, everything changed! Mere mortals with no hope in life
were immediately transformed into the very sons of God! The course of our
destiny changed forever.
You see, no matter how
wealthy, educated or hardworking you were, your life without Christ had one
destination: eternal separation from God. The thought of his bothered Paul so
much that he wished he was the one separated from God and not his kinsmen he so
loved!
The most interesting
part? Jesus looked at living, breathing people and told them that He came to
give them life. (John 10:10) God took us who were dead in trespasses and made
us alive together with Christ! God did not take us out of death for us to live
powerless and defeated lives. We have not been pulled out from darkness to live
weak and powerless lives. The life we have received is something the sages of
the ages have longed to see; it’s something the angels marvel at.
The very life of God
flows through you. You can’t afford to be average. You can’t afford to be
ordinary. The life of God is bubbling within you. You have embraced a life of
infinite possibilities. Apostle Peter who had a hard time catching fish and was
too scared to confront a little girl was totally transformed when he received
this new life. He began to walk in supernatural powers to the extent that his
shadow healed people! Peter could speak boldly to the Sanhedrin and command a
lame man to walk. His weak and powerless life was exchanged for something
absolutely spectacular!
And we know
that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are
the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined
to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among
many brethren. “Romans 8: 28,29”
Go has a destiny for
all of us; We are predestined to be conformed to the image of Jesus! People who
only walked in the darkness now walk in the light of Jesus. Romans 12:2
admonishes us not to be conformed to this world. Romans 8:29 reminds us that
our destiny is to conform to the image of Jesus. The life in you is the life of
the resurrected Christ. The life you are supposed to manifest is the life of
Christ. You are not supposed to manifest the weak, purposeless, ordinary life
of your past. You are supposed to manifest the supernatural newness that comes
with the life of Christ. Demons are supposed to bow when you speak. Disease and
sickness should flee when you show up.
When you begin to
pattern your life after the word of God and begin to do the word, you conform
to the image of Jesus. You are not destined to be like this world or to operate
by it’s principle. You are destined to be like Jesus and to operate by the
principles of the word. You are supposed to heal the sick and cast out devils.
You are destined to walk in greatness and do exploits for the kingdom.
There is greatness
ahead of you. There is greatness inside of you. Christ in you is the hope of
glory. Lift up your head and raise your heart. You are about to walk in a
dimension of glory the world is yet to see.
This is your destiny.
You will do well.
